RTC to ensure hassle-free journey for pilgrims

Come Krishna Pushkaralu, there will be an RTC bus every two minutes to Vijayawada and Amaravati from Guntur. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), Guntur, is rolling out 905 special buses and of them, 484 buses have been earmarked for these two major pilgrim centres.
“We want to ensure that RTC buses are available to every ghat in Guntur district, starting from Nagarjuna Sagar to Penumudi. All the services have been synchronised and with the cooperation of the Police Department, we will ensure pilgrims will have a hassle-free journey,” said Regional Manager (Guntur) G. Srihari.
It is expected that about 2 lakh pilgrims will be visiting the ghats every day and the RTC has made arrangements for transporting them from Pushkar Nagars to ghats. Releasing a detailed plan, Mr. Srihari said that buses would start from various designated points. Buses heading towards Amaravati would start at the NTR Bus Station Complex, Old Regional Manager office, Wolf Hall and Railway Station. Buses heading towards Seethanagaram would start at NTR Bus Station Complex, Gorantla, AIIMS Pushkar Nagar, and Mangalagiri.
