Come Krishna Pushkaralu, there will be an RTC bus every
two minutes to Vijayawada and Amaravati from Guntur. The Andhra Pradesh
State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), Guntur, is rolling out 905
special buses and of them, 484 buses have been earmarked for these two
major pilgrim centres.
“We want to ensure that RTC
buses are available to every ghat in Guntur district, starting from
Nagarjuna Sagar to Penumudi. All the services have been synchronised and
with the cooperation of the Police Department, we will ensure pilgrims
will have a hassle-free journey,” said Regional Manager (Guntur) G.
Srihari.
It is expected that about 2 lakh pilgrims
will be visiting the ghats every day and the RTC has made arrangements
for transporting them from Pushkar Nagars to ghats. Releasing a detailed
plan, Mr. Srihari said that buses would start from various designated
points. Buses heading towards Amaravati would start at the NTR Bus
Station Complex, Old Regional Manager office, Wolf Hall and Railway
Station. Buses heading towards Seethanagaram would start at NTR Bus
Station Complex, Gorantla, AIIMS Pushkar Nagar, and Mangalagiri.
Buses to be operated from Guntur to Vijayawada and Amaravati every two minutes
