The replica of Balaji temple constructed by the Tirumala
Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at the PWD grounds in the city will be
formally opened on Sunday.
The Maha Samprokshanam
ceremony will be performed to the temple between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.,
before the presiding deity is opened for public darshan as per
Vaikhanasa Agama rituals on Sunday.
All the arjitha sevas including suprabhatam, thomala, archana, nivedana and sattumora will be performed in ekantam.
Suprabhatam
is the first pre-dawn ritual — the awakening seva of Lord. This is
followed by thomala wherein the presiding deity is decked with floral
and tulasi garlands. Archana is next where the deity is rendered puja by
chanting His divine names.
Nivedana and sattumora
are performed while offering annaprasadams to the Lord. Apart from these
sevas, the ekanta seva is performed as a closing ritual every day
wherein the replica of Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy is laid on a swing. All
these rituals will be performed till the completion of Krishna
Pushkarams.
Every day there will be unjal seva of the Lord and His consorts on a well-decked swing in the temple premises.
The Pushkara harati will also be rendered every day at the Padmavathi ghat.
Free food distribution
The TTD has also made elaborate arrangements to distribute free food to over 1 lakh devotees every day during Pushkarams.
It has also arranged cultural programmes at the replica temple, Amaravati, Srikakulam and Jogulamba temple in Alampur.
