SSSSO India to deploy 6,250 trained volunteers
Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation India (SSSSO India) on Tuesday
announced a massive assistance programme for the pilgrims of Krishna
Pushkaralu in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The programme will be implemented from August 12 to 23 in the districts
of Krishna, Guntur, and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh and Nalgonda and
Mahabubnagar in Telangana.
The organisation’s national president Nimish Pandya said that the SSSSO
would be sending 6,250 trained Seva Dal volunteers comprising 4,200 men
and 2,050 women for assisting the pilgrims at 22 ghats.
They are also trained in disaster management which will be helpful in the event of any unfortunate incident.
5000 litres of milk for children
The international service organisation will make 5,000 litres of milk
available for distribution to children. It will provide around 200
wheelchairs to help the aged and differently abled pilgrims to reach the
ghats from railway stations and bus stands.
Around 500 youth Seva Dal volunteers will supply drinking water at ghats and food counters.
The SSSSO India will also keep five mobile medical vans.
In addition to this, medical camps with qualified doctors and medical
staff and medicines will be organised. Besides, SSSSO will distribute
prasadam free of cost to 45,000 devotees daily. The SSSSO will also
organise a ‘Naama smarana - kaliyuga sadhana’ exhibition at 22 ghats.
Various spiritual and cultural programmes will also be performed by
Balavikas and Youth of SSSSO India. More details can be known through
