The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) launched a
campaign to promote environmental awareness among pilgrims during
Krishna Pushkaralu. MP Kesineni Srinivas flagged off the Kala Jatha here
on Monday.
As part of the campaign, Vibhuti Baburao and his troupe will stage
street plays at major junctions in the city to educate pilgrims on dos
and don’ts to protect the water of Krishna river and its environs from
pollution during Pushkaralu.
APPCB Regional Officer E Satyanarayana and Zonal Officer BVNV
Bhaskara Rao took the initiative in conduct of the awareness campaign to
curb the river pollution.
