District Collector Kantilal Dande on Saturday said
arrangements at Amaravati and Dharanikota, where two ghats were being
built upstream of Prakasam Barrage, would be completed by August 8.
Reviewing the works, he said the 1.3-km long model ghat at Dharanikota
would be the major attraction during Krishna Pushkaralu. Model temples
would be built at Amaravati and a cultural dais by the TTD would be
built near the Amareswara Temple on the banks of the Krishna.
Commissioner, Family Welfare, Samuel Anand John, and District Judge Sumalatha were also present.
