Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police (SP)
Ake Ravi Krishna advised the lodge owners to collect photostat copies of
Aadhaar, ration and other relevant documents issued by the State or
Central governments from devotees as a precautionary measure before
renting out rooms to them for the ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu.
He stated that large number of devotees from Andhra Pradesh and
neighbouring States are expected to take holy dip during Krishna
Pushkaralu.
The SP and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Ravi Prakash have visited
the Srisailam on Tuesday. They have trekked for 6 kilometres and
inspected the ongoing repair works of Krishna Pushkaralu. He directed
the officials to complete every work within the stipulated time. None of
the devotees should face hurdles due to lack of facilities while taking
holy dip, he added.
The SP asked the lodge owners to keep an eye on anti-social
elements, who try to create disturbance during Pushkaralu. Special teams
have been formed under the supervision of OSD Ravi Prakash, he said.
The SP stated that teams have carried out searches at Sunnipenta and
Srisailam and combing operations in Nallamalla forest.
Ravi Krishna directed police personnel to create WhatsApp group in
their mobiles through which information could be passed on instantly to
the higher officials. He urged the people to bring to the notice of
the police about any suspicious activity by dialing 100. Atmakur DSP
Supraja and other police officials were present.
