VIJAYAWADA: Pushkar ghats at Mukhyala and Vedadri on the banks of
Krishna River in Jaggaiahpet mandal of Krishna district will be
developed at the cost of Rs. 5 crore. District collector Babu A
inspecting the two ghats, on Wednesday, directed the officials to
complete the works before commencement of Krishna Pushkarams.
On the occasion, he said that the two ghats would be developed on a permanent basis.
Mukhyala pushkar ghat would be developed at the cost of Rs 3 crore while Vedadri pushkar ghat would be developed at the cost of Rs. 2 crore.
“Necessary basic amenities for the visiting devotees would be provided,” he said. The collector said that as large number of devotees will visit Mukhyala necessary precautions must be taken, including keeping life jackets on standby.
