Summary: : District Collector Babu A. inspected the arrangements being made for Krishna Pushkaram at Durga and Punnami Ghats, Gollapudi Centre and Sitara Centre here on Tuesday along with Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian and Sub-Collector G. Srujana. Orders to suspend sand quarrying at Punnami Ghat have already been issued and officials concerned would be taken to task for dereliction of duty. On the occasion, Mr. Babu said contractors for various road development projects were selected and the works would begin in a few days. A total of 45 notices were served. Notices were served for demolition of encroachments along the Bhavani Ghat.
