The Telangana government on Friday sanctioned Rs 825.16 crore to provide
necessary infrastructure for Krishna Puskharams in the state.

bathing ghats and electrification works will be taken up in Mahbubnagar

To refurbish the existing roads and to upgrade rural roads, the government will spend about Rs 541 crore and Rs 38 crore to provide drinking water for the pilgrims. "The government has decided to promote Shakti Peetham at Alampur Jogulamba temple and accordingly, we have allotted Rs 25 crore to lay a double-lane road to the temple. We have asked district collectors to complete tendering process as early as possible and start works from March 15," said the minister. For the first time, parking facility will be arranged at all important ghats to attract more people from Hyderabad city. To reduce traffic woes, it was proposed to impose one-way traffic movement on the roads leading to bathing ghats.
