Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials to consider Krishna Pushkaram as an occasion to link all the rivers in the State.

At a review meeting here on Friday, Mr. Naidu said that the government had set a goal of linking river Godvari and Krishna during Godavari Pushkaram. The objective was realised. The ensuing Krishna Pushkaram should pave way for linking of other rivers, he said.

Mr. Naidu asked the officials to prepare estimates for re-carpeting of roads and construction of 14 bridges across the canals in the State. Special poojas have to be performed at all temples.

The officials should also prepare an action plan for water management. The CM wanted the officials to spruce up Gannavaram airport, Vijayawada and Guntur railway stations.
